Dec Holiday Sensory Party!
Sensory Art, Play and Storytelling
- Explore possibilities, make risk -assessment and choices in unstructured play
- Develop social cues and boundaries when learning playing with others
- Opportunity to be curious, creative and imaginative, and be willing to experiment
Sensory Art & Play in an unstructured , free-play environment allows children to be empowered and meet their sensory needs.
Children have the freedom to make their own choices and often go into their own flow zone at such times. It is proven that children who are allowed to have sensory play tend to self-regulate better.
The pop-up art and play area are filled with recyclables, children can explore freely as they experiment with different physics, chemistry, and social elements (eg: balancing, gravity, colour mixing, social cues). Wet paint, flour, and shaving foams are some of the favourites as children are allowed to be as messy as they want.
Of course, the foam party cannot be missed, especially for the Xmas holiday season!
Storytelling, Art & Craft are a great way to teach children about values and make sense about the relationships and world around them. Through the art and craft, the children explore sensory with different materials and textures. Learning on their motor skills, problem solving and also socio-emotional development.
They will make their own hungry caterpillar story, and decorate it to a door hanger, key holder or anything you can imagine!
